Are you looking for your next fun treat? Try my recipe for slushies that can be made with just a packet of KOOL-AID, sugar, ice cubes, and a high speed blender. Pick your favorite flavor and mix these up today!
One of the oldest (and most popular) recipes are for these slushie treats that I created for my kids. Since they have been little, no summer goes by without these treats.

If your family makes a lot of Sonic or 7-11 slushes, I know that they will love these just as much and they are even easier on the wallet.
How to Make a Slushie With KOOL-AID

Honestly, these are as easy as they sound! You will just blend up a packet with ice water, crushed or cubed ice, and sugar.
I do recommend a high speed blender for this one! I’ve had great success with this Ninja Blender in the summertime. There is no need to spend loads of money on a Vitamix to nail this delicious creation.

Serve these up in a double insulated cup to help this frozen treat last longer.
The great thing about our easy KOOL-AID slushies is that you can make a different batch every time. We love trying new flavors and now you can find fun ones like watermelon, mixed berry, and even strawberry kiwi.

My kids do love the classics though so that’s usually what we end up gravitating towards.
I am always tweaking my recipes and have tried everything from sugar-free Kool-Aid to make slushies (they did not turn out for us) to reducing the sugar in our slushies to see if the kids notice a taste difference.

We decided to drop the sugar to a 1/2 cup in our batch (originally 2/3 cup) and we found that we didn’t notice a big taste difference, but I felt better about sharing this treat with my kids with the lower sugar content.
I hope you love this recipe as much as our family! Let me know in the comments below and what your favorite flavors are!
