I’m often asked what equipment I use for my photography. It’s evolved over the years as I’ve become more confident and proficient, but here’s a rundown of what I use most often:
Main Equipment
Body: Canon EOS 7D
When my Canon T1i body finally gave up, I made the leap to the 7D. You just feel like professional holding it. There’s a million options that let you set up your photos just the way you want to. That flexibility comes with a learning curve, but that also means it’s a great motivator to master your craft.
I also have the battery grip, which lets me add a second battery and makes it easy to take vertical photos.
Lens: Canon EF-S 17-55mm f/2.8 IS USM Lens
My pride and joy is this lens. I wanted a lens that could take great shots in a lot of different scenarios as I have no desire to lug around and switch lens. It’s an investment piece, but this lens is incredible and I can’t recommend it enough.
