Sponsored Post: New Spins on Outdoor Entertaining With JACK’S ® Pizza

As I revealed last month, I am so excited to share with you my partnership with JACK’S Pizza this summer on the “JACK’S Summer Grilling” program to show just how easy it is to grill their pizza.

If you haven’t had a chance yet, I encourage you to head to jacksgrilling.com to find simple techniques for grilling a pizza with your family or for easy summer entertaining. The new “Jack’s Summer Grilling” directions explain how to cook up the same great tasting, crispy-crust Jack’s Original pizza on the gas grill that the family has come to love from the oven.  Since I know my readers strive to save money on meals, I know you will also love that the incredible taste also comes at a very affordable price.

Last month I shared some easy tips for entertaining from creating a fashionable spread to make your guests feel at home. Today I wanted to share some ideas for fun backyard entertaining that you may not have considered to give your guests time to really eat, mingle, and enjoy the great outdoors.

Macaroni Bites

Serve Food Tapas-Style

To create a more playful environment for your guests or family consider serving your dishes tapas-style. To serve food this way, reconsider large dishes like a cheesy macaroni, and rethink them into small appetizers that can be munched on throughout the night. Pasta salad can be enjoyed as a tortellini skewer instead, Jack’s pizza can be sliced into appetizer slices, and fresh fruit can be assembled on skewers and displayed on large platters for easy grabbing. This gives you more time to mingle and requires less time trying to balance plates.

Red, White, & Blue Trifle

Make It A Potluck Dinner

One of my favorite things to do with my family when I was growing up was to attend a monthly potluck at our church. I have always appreciated getting to try new foods and potluck dinners are the perfect way to get to try new dishes and to relieve the host of some of the food preparation. Sometimes entertaining can feel stressful, but it doesn’t have to be. Ease this burden by asking each guest to bring a dish or drink to share for the evening. Offer to supply the main dish for the event, like the easy-to-grill JACK’S Original pizza, and then have them round out the menu with desserts, sides or drinks for the evening.

Outdoor Entertaining

Make It a Themed Event

Whenever I am throwing a get together, I always try to think of a theme for the evening to really pull everything together. By setting a theme in place, you instantly have an idea of what dishes to serve, what type of outdoor games to offer, and what type of décor will pull your theme together. Whether it is an outdoor board game night, an outdoor movie event, a red-white-and-blue theme, or a food focused theme, themes have a way of pulling all of those great ideas you have together and make the planning a little less stressful.

Consider a neighborhood family pizza night with JACK’S pizza and have guests bring fun dishes to share for the evening. Your neighbors can bring their family’s favorite sides, like a summer fruit salad or fresh veggies, for everyone to enjoy with their pizza. Kids would also love a make-your-own sundae station for a fun dessert to share at the end of the evening.

I hope this gives you a good start to your outdoor party planning.
