vacuuming dirt off a green carpet

This month I am blogging over at the Goodwill Tips blog and we are talking about strategies for Spring Cleaning your home.

I can admit that I used to try to do spring cleaning in one week, but with endless activities on our calendar, it makes it difficult to devote a week’s worth of my time to just cleaning. Who really has time for that?

Instead of doing one deep cleaning try “spring cleaning” all year long learn how you can accomplish that spring cleaning all year long and how to use Goodwill to clear the clutter from your house. Let’s talk about how you can break this task up and reclaim your home when you don’t have a lot of time on your schedule!

I try to do a little bit every other month instead of waiting for spring to do my “spring cleaning.” It makes life a lot easier for me and it is more manageable :)

I try to get a spring cleaning task done while I’m in that area anyway doing a routine task… i.e. clean out fridge just before weekly shopping trip, why not take a little extra time to scrub down the inside shelves and drawers too? Had the repair man come over yesterday to fix my dryer, so I had to clear the laundry area, and took a few extra minutes to organize some stuff in there. putting kid toys away at the end of a day… weed out a few they’ve outgrown. etc..
