Oh good I’ve got all of the ingredients needed for the Black Bean Burgers – dinner dilemma solved for today.
Thanks for a great notebook Amy!

I want to make a batch of those for my lunches and wonder if adding some leftover brown rice mixed in would be a good addition too. Enjoy your dinner tonight, Ingrid!

Great idea for the brown rice, Amy! I’m going to make a note of that for when I try to make these. It’ll have to be sometime when the hubby is out of town, he thinks that making burgers w/o meat is a sin!

I agree- this burger would be just for me! I eat a lot at airports (sad) and the best bean burger I had contained brown rice through it. I had to jot that one down if I ever got around to making my own
I always love your notebook! I’m going to try those candy-cane lollipops with my kids today – we also have leftover candy canes!
I saw that cowl at the PurlBee, too. I just wish they would recommend some less expensive yarns for their projects… over $100 for just the yarn, make it $127 if you have to buy the needles, too! But I’ve never done that herringbone stitch before, and I’d love to try it!
PS I live in Indonesia with my family and have been reading your blog for quite a while. We were back in Michiana for a few months this summer and I saw you at a Chick-Fil-A with your kids but was too chicken to come over and introduce myself… sad but true

WHAT??? You are kidding me?? You should have come up and said hello especially if you live in Indonesia!
When will be the next time you will be in the Michiana area. You know that would have made my day! Next time, you need to say hi or meet me for coffee
Oh, and the cowl is beautiful, but I would definitely have to buy my own yarn at Michael’s instead
I can’t believe it would cost that much to make- WOW! Crazy!

Ha ha! Yes, well… blame my insecurity…
There were a lot of people there, and I think you were already chatting with someone else who “recognized” you, so I just was too shy to make my move
Oh man, I have no idea when we’ll be back… sooner rather than later, I hope, but the longest it could be would be 3 years from now – yikes! We’ll see…
Yeah, I love those patterns from Purl Bee but the yarns are just crazy expensive. I am already realizing that I didn’t bring nearly enough yarn back with me!!! Just in case you wanted it, here is another crazy expensive project from them: http://www.purlbee.com/bulky-knitt-pixie-dust-blanket/ $245 just for their recommended yarn, and add another $27 for a humongous needle that I am sure I would never use again for anything else!
Well, I might not get to meet you in the near future, but rest assured I will keep reading and enjoying your blog! Blessings!
