Isn’t it fun to peek into someone else’s holiday wish list? I wanted to share with you my Christmas wish list for this year and hear what is on your list!

40″ circular knitting needle set- I have been hearing a lot about magic loop knitting and I have some circular scarves that I would like to attempt knitting… not to mention my 2-at-a-time sock knitting that I want to try! This set of needles would put off my procrastination on learning this new technique and would be a perfectly cozy activity to do over the winter ($19.99)

lavender & vanilla pillow mist- If I have trouble sleeping, I spray a little lavender pillow mist on my pillow to help me conk out. I have had the same bottle for years, but I am down to my last sprays. I know my husband will never buy this for me as he finds the process of me spraying my pillows annoying. To which I simply say…whatever. There is nothing more soothing and I am hoping someone out there will replenish my supply ($10.00)
6-slice waffle iron- This is a very expensive gift therefore making it very unlikely I will receive it, but I am dying to get a waffle iron that produces more than a single waffle at a time. I make waffles every single Saturday for the entire week and this six slice waffle iron would give me the opportunity to sit and eat with my family instead of eating a waffle alone… Wait, no more eating alone? Maybe it is better that we keep our current arrangement! ($79.95)

Norah Jones & Imogen Heap music- I am a huge, huge, huge music lover and there were so many good albums that came out this year that I would love to have wrapped under my tree. Norah Jones & Imogen Heap are my top two requests this year and would definitely help round out my music collection ($11.99)

new calendar- I am writing activities in the margins of my current planner and can’t wait to get a fresh new one to fill with our activities. This is my favorite calendar of all and I have bought it the last two years and it is one of my most used items in my house. It is the perfect size to tuck in my purse and has pockets for business cards and random receipts. It is also durable and has survived all sorts of spill horrors and messes because of the waterproof cover. ($14.95)

perfume- Every girl should have a signature scent. I want my signature scent to be this Falling in Love perfume. I just need to convince my husband that a signature scent is important to me. Even the teeniest little spray bottle would make me happy and it sure would make those poor saleswomen at Sephora happy too. I don’t have to keep requesting little samples to stick in my purse and could finally get a bottle for myself. It is an extravagant luxury though so we shall see what Santa will bring ($15-60)

cookbooks- My cookbook collection could use a little updating and this year I have asked for the America’s Test Kitchen Family Baking Book<
/a> and
Cake Doctor cookbooks. These are two that I would like to stop paying fines on at the library because I check them out so often. The new Pioneer Woman Cookbook would also be a fantastic addition underneath the Christmas tree. ($10.37-$19.57)

What made your Christmas list this year?

You've got a great list. And specific too! I need to get on the ball. I've been so busy getting ready for Christmas, I never even made a list for myself. Let's hope my husband knows me better than I know myself! :)

Do you mean that you make and freeze waffles? If so, how do you reheat them? Just wondering. Your blog is so useful and I truly appreciate it. : )

Love seeing what's on your list! Mine is: a silicone baking sheet to put on the bottom of my oven, a tea pot (seriously – this is year two for asking – I like to make tea that I steep in a pot), loads of books (too many to list! – Santa usually chooses one for me that he'd also like to read!), a planner, voice lessons on CD, a big umbrella, and my "pie in the sky" item: a Coach purse (the Audrey bag) (okay – I usually put some crazy purse or something that's expensive down each year for fun!). :) Santa usually has a few ideas of his own – and he sometimes leaves out things he feels are too serviceable and tells me just to buy them. (Once I asked for a measuring cup and he was overwhelmed by the choices at Target!). I love seeing what the kids ask for each year. Anne wants an easy bake oven (can't believe they are still around) and a "video game" (she's sketchy on this as we don't have any of them and her friends do and talk about them) and Jack wants a Disney monorail playset! — Beth

You definitely want Ree's cookbook. It's amazing!

Thanks for the heads-up on the family organizer! I need that!

And I think we have the exact same taste in music, so thanks for those links, too.

I agree with you on having a signature scent and I am also a Philosophy girl–mine is Amazing Grace!

I have Pioneer Woman's cookbook on my list too–here's to hoping Santa is good to us this year ; )

If I could only get 1 thing for Christmas, it would be the limited edition, boxed set, blu-ray version of Gone With the Wind 70th anniversary. It's my all time favorite movie.
I would also like a nice rolling pin & board (I have none), and some Partylite candles (cinnamon bayberry)

I learned toe up socks with the magic loop method and its pretty amazing. You can try them on as you go if you start at the toe. However I'll stick to my dpns, simply because I kept forgetting to switch the balls of yarn. However, I loved learning the new method. If you don't like it, the 40's are great for afghans and knitting scarfs with long stripes.

I hope that you get everything that you wish for, including the waffle iron (or at least another single waffle one!)

    Merry Christmas

Lori- I am soooo jealous that you have this perfume. It smells so good! Little known fact, my husband has no sense of smell. Thus why every year I beg for perfume and don't get it. :)

Anonymous- I am going to have to do a tutorial on that. I make them on Saturday, place them on a cooling rack until they are cool and then slide them into freezer bags for breakfasts in the morning. Since I have a Belgian waffle maker, I zap them in the microwave for about 1 minute and 30 seconds. Serve with syrup- yum!

Jolly Mom- Mmmmm Amazing Grace was a very, very close second! That smells so good!

Rebekah- LOVE Gone With the Wind- what a great movie for your list!! I hope you get it.

Beth- Love your Santa wishes and seeing what the kids want. I always wanted an Easy Bake Oven!

Christi- Thanks for the knitting advice, I really need it. I thought that would be a fun project this winter!

Laura- Oh, I sooo want that cookbook. I keep checking it out from the library so I know it would be used in constant rotation over here :)

PetiteMommy- Who could not use a lens upgrade- an external flash is on my list of things that I want :)

Candy- How lovely!!! I am glad to know that I am not the only one that loves that fragrance. The calendar should go to the page if you click on "new calendar" so you can order it. They used to stock it on Amazon, but it is out of stock now! I hope that helps!!

I just got The Pioneer Woman's cookbook signed and love it!

I would honestly love a Dyson vacuum cleaner. With two dogs in the house it would be heavenly to me to own one!!! :) Not sure if that is sad or not. Ha! I'd also love a new purse and to get my hubby the gas cooktop he deserves as master chef in the house!

Unfortunately our dishwasher just died so that is probably what we'll get for Christmas for the house. :)

Can't complain, though. We are blessed.

Unfortunately my two biggest wishes are things I'm pretty sure will never make it under the tree: new camera and a laptop. A girl can dream though, right?

After a recent stay at The Ritz St Louis, I'm in love with BVLGARI Shampoo/Conditioner/Body Wash/Body Lotion. I took the extra bottles home with me and my hair has really never looked so good. I hope Santa brings me more!

    Other things:
    -Shea Butter infused socks (B&BW;)
-Silpat (so I can quick spending $ on parchment paper)
    -Master bedroom/bathroom painted

I like your list! I got the ATK Baking Book last year for my birthday, and LOVE it. I also really enjoy the ATK Family Cookbook (it looks just like the blue one, but with a red cover). The general knowledge it contains is amazing!

Hey Amy, MY husband can't smell a lick either!! How funny is that! Hence whey I never get it either. I bought on QVC for a gift to myself.

Also, I just bought that calendar. If I could be an 1/8 organized of what you are, then it will help a great deal:)

You might add, Pioneer Woman will autograph your book if you mail it to her. Instructions were on her main blog this past week. You just have to pay to ship it to her and then she'll pay to ship it back media mail. :)

I'd like one of those too!

Looks like a great list. Hope your Santa brings you everything you want!

I have perfume on my list too. I want to check out that calendar – looks like something I might 'need.'

I own the Cake Doctor cookbook; don't use it too often but it does have a couple of recipes that have been hits around here – the snickerdoodle cake is one of them. The America's Test Kitchen book is one I'd like to have.
