I loved the knock knock joke notes! Adorable! My son is headed off to 5 day preschool this year so I am thinking he'll like some notes from me in his lunch.

We like to do "snacky" lunches occasionally which is whole wheat cracker, cheese, pepperoni, and carrot sticks with dip. And 100% real juice is a must, too. Sorta like a lunchable, but way healtheir since I know I bought healthful alternatives.

:)

We also like tortilla roll-ups with things like apple slices, peanut butter, honey, granola....the possibilities are endless!

Please keep the lunchbox ideas coming. My 4 year old eats lunch at preschool. He would eat peanut butter sandwiches for lunch and dinner every day if he could, but his school does not allow peanut products due to allergies.

I bought some tiny Rubbermaid containers so I could pack carrots/celery and Ranch dressing or hummus for my son's lunch. This year, we should be all plastic reusable containers and no baggies.

What a fun trip & unique opportunity for you! We don't have to worry about packing lunches since we homeschool, but these tips will still come in handy.

thanks!

Go Gurt (or the Aldi's brand) are great yogurt snacks that freeze well. They are also nice because you don't need a spoon for them. You can get 6 tubes for about $2 at Aldi.

Baked Pita Bread to create chips along with some peanut butter for dipping is always nice too.
