As the wife of a firefighter, I can't thank you enough for doing this. It's not easy on our 18 month old when Daddy is gone for over 24 hours. The firefighter really do appreciate things like this.

What a great idea to bring along some treats on a visit to the Fire Station! I will have to remember this next time our playgroup goes...

That looks like so much fun! I remember when my boys were in Pre-School and went to the Firestation. Always a fun trip!
~Liz

It's funny you posted this today - yesterday was our monthly MOMS Club meeting.

Someone usually brings snacks, doughnuts, whatever but since most of the moms are watching the waistline or way or another, there are generally leftovers...A LOT of leftovers. LOL

So, the Vikings and I have made it a habit to ask for the remainders and take them to our fire station on the way home! Yesterday? Popsicles after a park date! LOL

DaHubby and I also use to work law enforcement in our pre-kids-and marriage lives (me in dispatch, DaHubs on the road). Thank-yous come rarely but are greatly appreciated!

My husband is in law enforcement. The thank-you's they receive are priceless. Considering his line of work, the thank-you's usually come after the fact because when he's working, it's usually a situation where there's no time for chit-chat. The best form of a thank you is when someone calls the sheriff's office and leaves word that 'they'd like to thank Officer X for all that they did' or they send a note of thanks via the department.

Amy, thanks for taking time to highlight such important people in our community! I know that fire fighters love having kids into the station, because fire fighters are just big kids with big trucks :>) Bringing treats is such a great and thoughtful thing to do!
