Ummm... I realize this is an old post - but I must warn you - you cannot use those fire logs for cooking food. Read the label - they are toxic!

What a wonderful tradition! Your children will always think of it when they smell a camp fire. Be careful of cooking over those 3 hour logs that you buy. They are made out of chemicals that go into your food. Better to use natural wood.

That looks super fun. Our 2-year-old daughter would absolutely love that. Especially the S'mores part. :)

We've just started doing these campfire nights at our house (we got a pit for Christmas). It's the most fun!

:)

I had no idea you could even buy those nifty forks for fire roasting. We always scan the area for long sticks.

We got out for ice cream on the first and last day of school. This way we can sit together and talk about the day.

How funny, we just had a campfire dinner last week! It was tons of fun, and our two-year-old was able to learn a bit about fires and fire safety as well.
