The April issue of Redbook is out and I am so pleased with the results! If you aren’t able to snag a copy, they have made the article available online and you can read more about our debt-free journey.

My real-life friend and fellow Eleven Mom, Lynnae at Being Frugal, was also featured and you can read about her own story here.

A big thank you to Jonathan Sprague, Kathy Friend, and Gabrielle from Camellia Cosmestics for all helping me look and feel like a superstar.

It was a wonderful day and I will never forget it. I am so proud to have been featured for our family’s financial choices and I hope we can inspire others to live a debt-free life and celebrate!

I’m so happy for you! We just paid off my car and are working on my husband’s. It’s been a lot of hard work, but the results are awesome!
After awhile, being thrifty becomes addictive. It’s hard for me to pay full retail anymore!

Congratulations! Your family’s story is an inspiration to my family as we work to pay off our unnerving amount of student loan, car loan, credit card and medical debt. I love the Redbook picture and am going to post it where I can see it frequently to help remind me that we, too, can be debt free!

You look great and love the brownies! :) THANK YOU for sharing your story – it is motivating me to get rid of the debt once and for all. My husband and I are still getting used to living on one income. Keep up all of the great work that you do.

Oh, thank you so much for your sweet comments and even wanting to get the magazine! It means the world to me and I would have never reached my goal had it not been for my loyal readers and your encouragement along the way.

All things are possible! I hope our story offers encouragement to other families that are struggling!

    Congratulations! You look amazing Amy!

I always wonder where they find the folks for those articles. It’s neat to know one. :)

I never knew you were a fellow New Englander. East or Western Mass?

    Thanks everyone!!

Janel- We used to live in Boxborough and then lived in Pepperell, MA. I worked in Concord, Maynard, & Marlborough when we lived there and did community theater in Acton. I miss it so much, but now we feel quite settled in Indiana :)

Let me tell you, I haven’t visited your blog for a little while so I didn’t know you were going to be in GH. When I opened up to your page I read the article and thought the story sounded familiar and then I saw your face on the next page. LOL I couldn’t believe it! How awesome are you!!?!?!?
