My husband sent me the link to this series and I can’t stop watching. Clara is an amazing woman who shares her tricks and tips that they used to stretch a buck in the Depression Era. Her stories are beautiful and her cooking tips are wonderful. I hope you can take a moment to enjoy this Poor Man’s Feast that she shares in this episode and visit the Depression Cooking Channel to see more episodes!

Nate- I am not seeing a real set schedule to it, but at the top there is a “Subscribe” button and I think it will notify you when a new video is available for viewing. I hope that helps and thanks so much for the comment!

What a great set of videos! I watched more than one b/c Clara’s commentary and simple recipes caught my attention.

I totally took a double take when I pulled up your blog because I just blogged about the same video series this morning.

Aren’t Clara and her stories fascinating? My 6yo was captivated, and learned a lot about the Great Depression while we watched the videos yesterday.

This is incredible! Thank you for sharing! I think my grandparents generation has always had so much to share with us but we are only now really listening and it is truly poetic that we are learning such historic lessons through such a modern tool.

Fun to watch! I also saw this on the Hillbilly Housewife blog. She has a video of Claire baking bread from scratch, too.

I agree with Willo! My hubby and I laugh that we are so retro minded! I can’t wait to watch these videos-thanks Amy!
