Freebie Friday: January 16, 2009

It is another wonderful week for freebies thanks to our great relationship with Heather at Freebies 4 Mom. Be sure to check her list for the ten hottest coupons and be sure to call your local Target to see if they are participating in the additional 30% off on clothing markdowns. Visit Heather’s site all week long for the best of the best in the freebie world!

We are already setting our DVR for the free HBO preview weekend and have lined up lots of free movies to watch on these snowy days here in the Midwest. I’m leary about the free magazine subscription offers. Anyone have a comment to alleviate my suspicions?

  6. Amy — January 16, 2009 @ 4:24 pm

I have not used AdPerk before, but I use FreeBizMag all of the time and have never been charged anything or had any problems with them.

I use “F” as my middle initial in all of my free magazine subscriptions so it acts as a reminder to me that these are supposed to be free.

Do only what you feel comfortable with, of course, but I have had great success with that particular company!

    Hope that helps!

I have used Adperk before and found it was an easy way to earn a free magazine subscription just by watching a few ads. It’s easier than it sounds – no surveys to fill out. I did start receiving my free magazines promptly – so I will say that I recommend trying AdPerk if they are offering a magazine you are interested in getting for FREE.

That is great feedback, Heather, thank you! I hadn’t tried that service, but I will definitely be keeping my eyes peeled for some free subscriptions.

    Thanks for sharing!

Some of the sites where I go for the freebies you suggest require a lot of work… completing surveys and having to sign up for services. Is that how it is supposed to work or am I missing something? Now my inbox is flooded with junk emails. Not sure I am doing this right. And I still could not get the quaker link to work. I’m all new to this so any help/suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

  14. Heather — January 21, 2009 @ 12:36 pm

    Lori –

If any freebie asks you to complete a long survey or complete a “qualifying offer” – just don’t do it! I recommend that you create a separate FREE email address to use for your free sample requests. Please read Be a Smarter Freebie Finder for more tips. You should not be getting a lot of spam by requesting free samples directly from the manufacturer!
