But, just make sure that you don't microwave the leftovers in those containers. The plastic isn't made for that, and can leach some pretty nasty stuff into your food!

See this, especially mid-way down the page where it talks about safe containers to nuke in:
http://www.publix.com/wellness/greenwise/feature/Article.do?id=2011&childId;=2267

My husbands grandmother does this. Especially when she is sending food to other people. She says you don't have to worry about your tupperware not being returned.

This is also a great time to clean out your frig before stocking it with all of the Thanksgiving goodies....I also used this time to give away lots of canned goods and boxed foods from my pantry. One of the local high schools has a food drive and I used that opportunity to clean out the pantry. God Bless, Pam, South Bend

Great tip, we save ours for freezing purees and such in. I am a little cautious over storing food in them but it is really hard to use glass in the freezer. This is great for the short time until they get at which time they will more than likely transfer to a glass container or better yet a plate. Like you said the best part is you don't have to worry about getting it back, which never happens. Now if only my family would leave enough food for leftovers.
