I did a mostly homemade costume this year.<br /><br />My strategy, which I will be trying again next year, is to bring some healthier treats in the stroller. So my little man had a couple natural lollies and pigged out on organic cookies while we went door to door. He had a plain chocolate bar when we got back to the house and the rest of the junk stayed at grandpa's. (More to save ME from eating it all. LOL) Who knows if that trick will do it when he's older, but it was a good plan for now. too cute! I did a mostly homemade costume this year.

I have been creting mine for a couple of years now and I cannot sew. The first year my son was a skunk using old fur granny hats at goodwill, the next my husband and he were Dr. evil and mini me using old grey suits and this year he was Elvis.
