Oprah is still offering her Holiday Hits 2008 free music download. You can download 8 holiday sons, a label to print, and a CD cover to print. This would make a great frugal gift.

Sorry this wasn’t on the list, but I honestly thought that this offer would end before Friday. Still available this morning, but it could be ending at any time today because it was supposed to only be available for 48 hours starting sometime on Wednesday.

How did your mashed potatoes turn out? I used your recipe (froze them ahead and heated in the crockpot) and they turned out great!! That one’s a keeper! I loved how it saved time on Thanksgiving. Thanks so much for posting it!

Sarah- I am so glad they turned out!! Mine turned out wonderfully although I was a little worried when I poured them in the slow cooker and they looked like soup. After a couple of hours though, they were perfect and no one could believe that I froze them ahead of time.

The other big hit (also frozen) was the cranberry spread. No one could stop eating it, including myself. It actually tasted better after it was frozen and everyone absolutely loved it.

I am so glad you tried my recipe and I hope your family had a wonderful Thanksgiving!! ((hugs))

My mashed potatoes looked the same way as yours & I, too, was a little concerned! Also, I don't know if you've ever tried cooking your turkey in an oven bag, but I tried it for the first time this year. It took less time, required no checking up on or basting, and the turkey was moist and flavorful!

Sarah- I am so glad they turned out and I did the turkey in the oven bag too! I loved it and was so glad I did because it made clean-up so much easier. Happy Holidays!!

    Enjoy the freebies, everyone!
