This is such a great idea! I am definitely planning a baking day. I thought since your blog often gives good financial advice I would mention that I am working with ShoreBank to promote their new High Yield Savings Account. Some details: 3.5% interest, 24-hour online access, $1 minimum (more here: http://shorebankdirect.sbk.com/). Also ShoreBank invests its money into socially and environmentally conscious enterprises. Hope this helps someone out!

I just menu plan for the week, taking into account busy days and not-so busy days. Knowing what to make ahead of time saves me money at the store and time I would have to spend figuring out what to make. Maybe someday I'll get it together enough for a baking day.

We are a baking day family too! I've blogged about it a little in MPM posts - with both hubs and I working, we want nutritious home cooked meals throughout the week, but we just don't have time to cook something from start to finish! We spend a few hours on the weekend prepping the week's meals and it makes things go so much more smoothly. We tend to make one big casserole or pot of something to eat off of at least 2x in a week, and then we prep the main ingredients for our other meals. Great topic!

Take care,
Steph
