I got so inspired after reading your post that I ran to the dollar store while dinner was cooking to grab some of the glass beads. I used magazine cut-outs and old greeting cards I had kept. My hubby was like “You’re already preparing for Christmas? Yikes!”
I may not be able to wait until then to give them as gifts! FUN and EASY!

Now I KNOW what I’m making all of the grandparents for Christmas!… I’ve started collecting things that I find as an unbelievable deal at Walgreens…… Now add a few of these with pictures of their Grandbaby!

I have seen large (like silver dollar or quarter sized) flat marbles before too……

I made these with a friend when I was 16. We did a bunch of old movie stars, James Dean, Katharine Hepburn, Spencer Tracy, etc. They’re really fun and can be customized for anyone or any purpose, just make sure you have no little hands in home!

I don’t remember how, but I came accross this post a few months ago. I used my 40% off coupons for Michael’s and Hobby Lobby to get supplies and found tons of potential magnets from magazines. Penny’s was giving away their summer catalog in prep for the Fall. I’ve had so much fun! Thanks so much for sharing!

After getting over the shock of the word “Holiday”…

these are great magnets. i actually used them as wedding favors with an engagement pic under the marble. you do have to make sure they are high enough on the fridge that your little ones don’t get them. big choking hazard!

I've been trying to buy/make magnets for a long time but never got around to it. This may be the push I needed – cute! Again, maybe the kids could make these for their aunts & uncles & grandparents this year.
