The Motherload Blog

This morning was a tad more exciting than I had planned for it to be. Our power went out about 2 AM and I had to set an alarm on my phone to get up by 5:30 AM to head over to tape today’s segment. We still did not have power when I woke up and I did my best to get ready by candlelight and then put together a bag to take over and get ready in the bathroom before taping the segment. I managed to make it in though and share about some really great online family planning tools.

Be sure to read my entry on picking an online family planner and to get the scoop on all the great features. These are some really great tools to help busy moms stay organized…and did I mention that they are free? You can’t beat it!

You can find my WSBT segment here. Please excuse the hair and makeup for the day! I am just happy I found some matching clothes!

Amy, you look great! That must have been pretty hair raising, though. :) Good segment, as always. I use Palm for my calendar needs but it doesn't work so well now that I am using Vista rather than Windows 2007. Maybe I'll take a look at the family planners you suggested. Hubby uses Google but the first one you mentioned sounded really cool too.

On a separate note, how have you been doing with greening your personal care? That article inspired me and I tried going no-poo for a while (the bad hair was just killing me so now I'm trying to just cut down on my shampoo use) and I also tried the oil cleansing method with some success. I like cutting down on all those chemicals! Cheaper, simpler & healthier…always a good combo.

    Lisa-

Thanks for the reminder- we need more green talking around here. I am so proud of you for trying those things and am ashamed to say I haven’t…yet. Things have been crazy around here, but I am glad that they are working for you. I will try to pick up another chapter in that book for next week!!

Letters to Elijah- Ah, you are great for a girl’s self esteem ;)
