I’ve never had a problem with the $2/$10, nor with combining that with other CVS coupons. What you’re not allowed to do is to use two of the same coupons in one transaction (i.e. the $2 CVS skincare). The CVS coupons almost always scan with no problems, so it’s just a matter of whether the cashier is being picky. Usually I have great cashiers!

The too-many-CVS-coupons is a valid issue, and one I learned early on. I emailed CVS customer care abut it and received a response explaining that you are allowed one man. coupon and one CVS coupon per item. So if you had a CVS coupon for each item, then the $2/$10 would have put you over the top. If you’d grabbed one more item, it would have worked. Still, it’s way better than Walgreens’ policy, which allows you just one coupon per item period!

Amy—I didn’t mean that you should stop posting about this. I said that it is impressive to see what you are able to accomplish…pointing out a weakness in myself is certainly not meant to criticize you. I am a big fan of your site….and everything you post.

Unfortunately, I have found that the friendly CVS workers let me use several coupons, but the grumpy ones don’t. Kinda funny and weird at the same time.

I have never had a problem with PDF CVS coupons. Plus, sometimes if you log into your extracare account from your computer, there are other coupons/extrabucks to use, which look different from the ones that print out of the register or kiosk. Those are good also. I used that $2/$10 coupon without a problem last week.

It really depends on the CVS coupon. Some of them say they can’t be used with other CVS coupons and others don’t. Usually the CRT coupons are fine to use with a $/$ coupon (I do it all the time) and others (like the $2/1 CVS skincare coupon or the sunscreen coupon from Reinventing Beauty) can only be used by themselves. Does that make any sense? (I have been told before though that there is a max number of CVS coupons you can use in 1 transaction. No idea what that number is. Sorry.)

You exhaust me with this CVS posts! It is impressive that you are able to get such deals, but I don’t think I have the time or patience for figuring all this out….
