I always ask the cashier if two transactions would be okay. They always say it's okay, but I never go over my two-transaction limit. If I have more than two transactions, I either come back to the same store on another day or I go to another CVS. I'm fortunate enough to have three within 30 miles. If we're out and about, I can usually work my CVSing in!

Hi Amy!

I often do multiple transactions and agree with a lot of what Mary Ann said. I try to wait until they aren't as busy - and if they get busy, I let others go ahead. I also to try to be very organized about what goes in which order and which coupons I'm using for each. With my littles in tow - I can't shop for one transaction and then pay for it and then shop and then pay - but, I do try to respect the cashier as well. I always thank them for their extra time and when I'm just shy of using one of my ECB's - I have implemented an idea I read on Money Saving Mom - ask the cashier what her favorite kind of candy is and use it for a filler to reach my total. Win-win situation!

Monica

I never use more than one $2/$10 with the same cashier in the same visit. If I ask the cashier if I can split the transactions, it's usually because I need the ECBs from the first one to pay for the second one.

The way I use more than one of that coupon (because it says one per customer) is make a purchase at the pharmacy register--usually while picking up a refill--then go up to the front and do a second transaction, both times with the 2/10.

I always ask first if they are okay with me doing more than one transaction and I usually get a "yes." I figure that they are shoppers too and understand why I would be doing that for coupon/sale deals. I do make sure that I am organized though, with items and their corresponding coupons/ECBs divided up before I go to the cashier. I usually get compliments from the cashier on my savings and organization!

Last week was my first week CVSing! I did 4 orders to make use of the $2.00/off $10 coupon and I bought one and then took the stuff to my car and came back in and got the rest.

If I'm doing 2 separate transactions, I try to approach the cashier when she doesn't have a line and then just tell her that I'm doing 2 different transactions. This isn't usually a problem. If I have a question about my ECB's, I'll step aside so she can check out the other folks in line. Most of the time, though, I'll do one transaction and then head back to shop for the second one. Either way works!
