That is great. When I first started knitting, I had the purl down, but I actually was messing up in a similar way on the knit stitch. It wasn't until I had completed an entire sleeve of a project (my first one done in the round) and I was half way up my second sleeve when I realized what I was doing wrong. I proceeded to complete the project incorrectly and then swiftly taught myself the correct way. It was amazing how much easier the knit stitch was when done correctly. Hang in there! Hah! I am betting that maybe a simalar problem with you :)<br />I still crochet as a lefty but can slowly knit as a righty. But you have to do the knitting backwards as well to make up for the backwards purl or it doesn't stockinette properly. <br /><br />and then don't switch off knitting with a friend who knits normally.
