Sorry you've had such issues: it seems something that's inevitable at some point with all my favorite sites. Luckily, it always seems to work out. Chin up, and know that your faithful readers will follow you through!

Maybe this will cheer you up....or at least let you know you are NOT Alone in the frustration category....my husband and I have not flown anywhere for a couple of years we have had some family health issues, a deadbeat renter and job constraints to deal with.....so we were both very excited when we found out that he was sked to attend a conference in Salt lake City (neither of us had ever been there) and I could go along just to relax. I will make this as brief as I can.....we were driven to OHare friday at 4PM, arrived early no problems, got thru security no problem, the airport was packed....lots of delays and cancellations....no problem for us we were early.....well 4 gate changes......and SEVEN AND ONE HALF HOURS LATER......our flight was cancelled!!! Neither Avis or National had any cars to rent....finally at midnight our time a car service agreed to drive us back to South Bend.....We arrived back at our home 11 and 1/2hours after we left.....However our luggage went to Salt Lake on Saturday and returned to South Bend on Sunday AFTER the baggage claim closed so we couldn't get it untill Monday morning.....at least we got it AND everthing was in it....however....we get no money back for the flight....only a $100 credit and at this point my husband says there is NO place he wants to go to ever fly again....the hotel was a 4 night minimum and they are arguing the fact that we didn't cancel 72 hours in advance. It was very hard to stay calm but I just kept telling myself that none of this was a surprise to God and that apparently He didn't want us to go to Salt Lake. Amy I feel your pain....God Bless, Pam South Bend
