Too cute and very thoughtful!
My daughter has sold 6 of her knitted baby hats. She is so excited. A friend gave her 33 skeins of new baby yarn that she had just laying around her house. My daughter was so excited she started hugging my friend. It was a funny site.
~Amy

Stephanie- If we lived closer we could definitely trade talents. I could use someone like you to inspire me in the canning and gardening department!

Niki- That link is AWESOME! Thank you! I love that idea and I would love to tie everything together like that. Thank you!

Great job on the blanket, knitting seems to be a lost art and good for you to stick with it. You mentioned giving away washcloths as gifts and thought you may like this idea that I saw one time.

http://the-stitcherbee.blogspot.com/2008/05/easy-teacherhostess-gift.html

What a lovely blanket! I’m a beginning knitter too, and I have to say that I do enjoy one-stitch projects like this. Since they don’t require much thinking or counting, they’re great to do in front of the TV.

BTW, I’m so glad you commented on my Martha Dr. Scholl’s project. I linked over here and I had never been to your site before. I’m not a mom yet (hopefully soon!), but I’m so happy to see the great resources that you’ve made available!

Story Girl- I love knitted washcloths too and it is a lot easier to tote around and experiment with on small swatches. I had a blast picking some fun yarn.

Andrea- Baby steps, I am ALL about those. I have wanted to do this for years and just got around to doing it. What I will say is that it is probably the best therapy in the world for me. I am a little less high-strung (little less, baby steps, right??) and it has kept me busy in the evening instead of wanting to go out and spend money.

Great job! It's beautiful! My mom has been trying to teach me to knit for a long time (about 20 years!). You are inspiring. Knitted washcloths are all I use for my dishes. They are the best!

Amy, what a precious gift! I think handmade gifts are always the best! It's so beautiful too! I may just have to try this...but, I need to start on the bread first. Baby steps...
