Now that it has finally warmed up, Emily & I can start taking our walks in the morning again. As soon as I drop Ethan off, we pull into the garage and get that old stroller out. I fill the little compartments with oodles of Cheerios and a cup of milk and we can set off for our morning walk together. Emily takes in the sites while I try and get my body moving again. It has been a long winter of being cooped up so it feels good to be enjoying this fresh air and sunshine.
A little rocket fuel speeds up the pace. For $2, this is a sweet little indulgence to help me go, go, go. I love McDonald’s Vanilla Iced Coffees for a morning pick-me-up. A whole heck of a lot cheaper than the Starbucks and just as yummy! A large one can last me an entire day!
What happens at night in this house? A whole lot of this! Can someone be addicted to knitting because I think I have found a new addiction? I am usually wound tight as a spring at night, thinking of all that I need to do, and this little hobby has provided some soothing relief to quiet my brain. My iPod is loaded with soft music and I am clicking away on the couch. Thank you all for your great knitting help and suggestions. I am tackling my first little project and making a scarf. My pace is slow, but my heart is proud that I am doing this.

I love the McDonald’s Iced Coffee too, they are so tasty! The weather has been much better around here and we are walking in the evenings. Our big kid has a blast just strolling around the neighborhood, and the little guy is happy to ride along.

Good luck on your knitting!! I am a terrible knitter, I am constantly ripping out and redoing things, but I still LOVE to do it. It’s how I relax. I love to go sit at Starbucks with my Ipod and just knit, not even knitting anything, just moving the needles and feeling the yarn
I like the hazelnut coffee from McDonald’s it’s pretty yummy!!

Amy – If you are like me…you will find it relaxing and then end up getting out of doing the knitting…and then get back into it a few years later….ha ha…and te cycle goes on and on….I would love to learn to quilt next!!!

I love to relax and watch TV while knitting in the evening. It keeps my hands and mind busy and takes my mind off of all of the other things I should be doing.

I love that scarf you are making!
I need to try that McDonald’s iced coffee. My mom bought one recently (but it was a different flavor and neither she or I cared for it.)
And how cute is Emily!
So glad it’s spring and time for outdoor neighborhood walks!

Thanks for the heads up on the McDonald’s iced drink. I’ve wanted to try, but was afraid i wouldn’t like it. I agree it’s MUCH cheaper than Starbucks! Happy knitting!

Knitting is addictive! I recently made the 5-hour baby sweater (free pattern online-just google it) and it really is pretty easy. Then again, I’ve been knitting for a while.
If you need knitting help, check out the website “knittinghelp.com” they have little videos of how to do all the different stiches/increases/decreases etc. I find it so much easier when I can SEE someone doing new things in knitting. Books make it so much more difficult than it really is!

I am getting ready to et into my morning routine of taking the twins (in the jogging stroller) to the park each morning at 6 and walking. Last year we got up to 4 iles a day. I so need to get back there again. It has been too cold and am looking forward to warmer weather!
I am not so big on iced coffee, although I love Sonic’s java chillers!
Looks like Emily is ready for her day!
The crocheting sounds relaxing. So glad you found such a great hobby!
Blessings!!!

Knitting is addicting! I was a knitter at one time. I haven’t made anything in a long time. But, I liked it because it seemed to help make me feel less anxious. Especially at night, when I felt like I needed to be doing something rather than sitting on the couch.
Hey, I checked out an Aldi’s the other day… I might take a little Aldi’s challenge and shop there for a few months to see how much we can save. Wish me luck!

Cara- I am SO proud of you! I bet you will find that you will save a ton of money and I think you will be impressed with the food. I promise, I don’t work for them, but I should
