As promised, I am putting together printables for tackling your spring cleaning this year. I just want to stress that we would like for you to share these with others, but ask that you direct them to our site to print them. They have been formatted into PDF files to try and retain as much ownership on them as I can.
I have been working my tail off on these all weekend and I am hoping that you will find them useful. Today we have an introductory letter explaining how the plan will work, what tools you will need to accomplish your tasks, and then your assignment for you to complete. For fun, I have included a recipe/meal idea that you can use. The point is to have a meal in mind so your cleaning doesn’t have you running out to McDonald’s every night, not necessarily that you have to make whatever is on my agenda.
I am working through these tasks with you and will do my best to post my pictures of my progress. I anticipate my blogging to be a little sluggish as I am trying to put these printables together, spring clean along with you, and keep up with all of the other stuff on my plate. I will do my best though!
Please send some feedback my way- I am anxious to hear it!

PS- I am trying to upload my photos for today, but am getting errors and timeouts from Google. Is anyone else having trouble with Blogger?

I’ve been having trouble with Blogger for weeks. I’ve gotten NO response from their “helpers”. I’m finally on Spring Break this week, so I’ll be shopping for a new service — maybe typepad??
Thanks for posting about Spring Cleaning — I’m all over it this week, since it’s the only time I’ll really have to do it!

The printables look great, Amy! Very inspirational (she says, looking around at a living room floor covered with toys). I’ll definitely point folks your way from my site! Looking forward to what comes next.
Moms who find themselves with a big pile of outgrown kid stuff after spring cleaning can pass it on to other parents at Freepeats.org!

Damsel- I am glad to know that I am not alone. I posted on the help board- recommendations have been to clear cookies and only upload teeny files
I am trying to figure it out. We are moving the blog though- too many issues with Blogger to count. As my husband says, you get what you pay for
Angie- Great idea about the Freepeats! I will add that to our agenda for Wednesday since it weeding out day (especially when cleaning kids rooms!)
Thanks for pointing others our way!

I need to get started on my Spring cleaning. Thanks for making it easier.

I HATE doing spring cleaning, but these pdfs are great and hopefully will challenge me to actually DO it this week!

I just vacuumed my coils for the first time in 3 years! They sure needed it oops. I also added it to my recurring task list for every 6 months.
I won’t be able to do all the daily tasks but I am hoping I can do some and add tasks to my list for when I am not so busy with other things. Then I will not have to think, I will just know what needs to be done!
Thanks.

CC & Jennwa- Good luck this week! I can’t wait to hear if the plan is working for you!
Tamara- That is AWESOME! Honestly, I don’t expect everyone to be able to do this daily, but keeping in the spirit and theme of the cleaning season, I just thought I would put these together as reference materials for when people have time to accomplish tasks. It is a strong motivator for me to get my home in shape and to encourage others to play along!

Amy,
You have created wonderful print-outs! That took some time and dedication to put together. Isn’t spring cleaning fun??!!! Ok… a bit of sarcasm there… Cleaning is not my favorite activity, but I do love the results. I am a HUGE crock pot fan… or as I call it, my “secret weapon”.

Great idea on crockpot dinner on heavy cleaning days! Especially when working on the kitchen–a combo of wanting to keep it clean and being sick of being in there all day always has me ordering takeout that night. Your idea will save me some serious cash! I also love the cookie sheet idea–no more running back and forth from fridge to counter dozens of times with a condiment bottle in each hand! You rock!

I just saw this on Baby Cheapskate, and can I just say that I’m soooo excited! I’m pregnant, so between the spring cleaning urge and the nesting urge, this sounds so great! And I love step-by-step instructions that break things down into small goals. Thanks so much!

I’m in for your Spring Cleaning Boot Camp! This is exactly the motivation I need. By the way, I’m not having any problems with Blogger lately.

Wow, thank you SO much for doing this!
I often feel defeated at the word “go” with spring cleaning because I have ongoing health issues that prevent me from spending a whole day, even half-day, cleaning anything.
I may not be able to accomplish all that you posted – but I’m so excited to see something that is at least workable for someone like myself.
Also, I think your daily meal ideas will be a wonderful addition – thank you so much for your hard work on this. What a blessing it will be to others!!

Amy-
I made your Italian Veggie & Pasta soup for my family tonight, and it was a HUGE hit! Even my picky 7 year old gobbled it down. Thanks so much for the great recipe and the printable.
(I did not get too far on my fridge yet, although I did vacuum behind and under it- very gross!) I will keep going tomorrow. Thanks for the motivation!

Alyssa- I am SO happy that your family enjoyed the recipe. It reminds me of a soup at Olive Garden…and who doesn’t love that?
That is great that you got part of your fridge done. Baby steps- whoohoo!
