The recipe says all purpose flour - think bread flour would be ok in these? I use my breadmaker all the time, but haven't specifically made hamburger/hot dog buns.

Oh thank you for this. I was trying to figure out what to do with my dough to let it rise, I am going to try the preheat oven/turn off.

Kelly- I haven't froze these before, but I am sure they would freeze great. You could even just freeze the dough and then thaw it when you need it.

I just whipped up a batch of these last night and they are delicious.

Here is the same recipe, but modified for the cinnamon roll version. Perfection!

http://tinyurl.com/5an2zw

Hi Amy, I followed a link from Frugal Dad to your blog. I'm so glad I found this. I'm not crazy about frozen buns, so we normally only do hamburgers the day after shopping. My husband will be thrilled if we had them more. Thank you!

i have a bread machine that is completely under-utilized, so this looks great! i do have a pizza stone question, though (i am new to this). all of the info i've read says to heat the stone in the oven before using it. this may be a silly question, but what do you do then? do you take the hot hot hot stone out and put dough on it and put it back in? do you skip this step? i appreciate any help!!!

thanks!
sunny
