Congratulations, Amy! Sounds like it was fun, too. Hey, can I ask for advice about bread-making? I haven't done it since the weather turned cool and I'm not sure what to do about proofing since my kitchen is now too cold. Do you use the oven, and if so, how? I was thinking of turning it on to 200 to warm up, then turning it off and leaving the dough in there to rise. Do you think that will work? Thanks for any advice you might have!

Hi Amy,

Congratulations on your Kenmore promotion! I have a bread maker that has a deluxe rapid cycle on it and so I can make a loaf of bread in 59 minutes. I really enjoy this feature because I can come home after work and start a loaf of bread and be able to serve it with my meal. I can also make a loaf of bread in a few hours if I am home on the weekend and get dinner started earlier.
May God continue to Bless you and your family.
Jodi

For our large family of nine we make 16 loaves a week. We usually make them on Friday afternoon so that Saturday is free to have fun. We have two ovens so the process is actually done within 4 hours because I can fit 4 loaves in each oven at one time. I use my trusty Kitchen-Aid to do the mixing. I make 2 batches each of Honey Whole Wheat Bread and White Bread. I make the wheat bread first because it doesn't take as long to rise. Then while it's rising in the pans I make the white bread. When the whole wheat bread is done cooking the white bread dough is ready for the pans. It's taken several years of practice but we have it done pat now. ;D
