Some stores have a horrible record of honoring their so called "rain checks", pre-buy list. I know a former GameStop employee who can attest to this. Of course, this might be different with the Wiis as you are actually paying for them upfront. And if you have a local GameStop run by responsible and knowledgeable employees (as the one closet to my home is) then this might be a great option for you to get a regularly priced Wii.
