Does seem a bit pricey, but if it lasts, even if it would last through multiple kids, it may be a good investment. I think one like that would be perfect for out an about like you mentioned. I don't know how many of my kids "good clothes" have been ruined by stains. At home I don't care so much and a cheap (sleeveless) bib is sufficient.

The company says that they will not stain, rip or tear so I am assuming that they would last a very long time.

I plan to use mine as an art smock for my daughter when she is done with the messy eating :)

Wow, what a concept. They seem expensive but perhaps they're a good investment if they last long. How long (age wise) do they last?

Gem- This one was one of the more expensive ones. They offer bibs for $5 too. I requested the one with the sleeves to try since we had never tried any like that! Thanks so much for your comments!

It actually is completely open in the back, just like regular bibs. It just hooks with Velcro in the back. :)

$12 -each-? That seems a little steep for your average everyday mom. At least for this one -- even for a really good bib.
