Yes, I absolutely loved my sling and used it all the time with Emily. It is a Hot Slings that I got off of eBay. The one pictured here is a replica of that sling that my mother-in-law made for me so that I had a couple of different patterns to choose from.

I loved this one because it was made to fit my body size. I am very petite (AKA super short) and those adjustable sling are huge on me. This one was fit to my body size so it worked perfectly without the constant adjusting.

I hope that helps- here is their site for more info:
http://www.hotslings.com/

Amy - I noticed you have a sling that your little girl is in, did it work well? I have a one year old that seems to cling to me when we are at my inlaws and this would help so much?! What brand is it? Would you suggest others use it?

I bet if you try again with her next year, she'll like it. I took my granddaughter on a train trip when she was 3, to Strong Museum and she loved it. (Highly recommend this museum if you are in the area!) And,hey, as you say, you learned a couple lessons. :)

What an eventful day! You got some good deals, but it's a shame the kids were not in the best of spirits. It IS a lot for little ones to handle. It's been too long since I've been to Science and Industry--we need to get back. The South Shore has several stops in MC throughout the day. I would definitely go that route. Just remember you lose an hour in MC (Chicago time) as well. Glad Ethan enjoyed it (oh, and he's getting SO big!!)!

I am so glad you guys had a great day yesterday, for the most part. We have never taken the train to Chicago before. We live about 2 hours from the museums and don't mind the drive. Have you ever taken the time to see the coal mining exhibit? The lines are always so long but well worth it.
Take Care.
Jodi

Amy sorry that the trip was a little exhausting for the family. Sometimes muesems are not interesting to little ones. We have a local childrens meusem in Louisville KY and its great. My dd took her nephews to it and they had a blast. On the other hand they made a trip to Disney World with a 3yr old and 8 yr old and they paid a hefty amount to get in and had to leave after 3 hours. The youngest 1 cried the whole time they were in the park. So i understand your little one being upset. Hope the next day trip you make is better

Vicki(Wheezymom)
