Not really. I really just like the fighting games because I am not coordinated enough to do any games that require real skill :)

I too, am a mother who loves video games. I am just curious if your taste in games has changed since you became a mother?

I have used Netflix before and liked it. Unfortunately, they didn't offer any games or we would have went with them. The Blockbuster club did seem more ideal to us though because you got in-store coupons too. I just wasn't happy with how long it took to get our first movie.

Netflix ladies. It's the only way. LOL Seriously after trying several, this option is long overdue! I LOVE it. My husband has a better explanation of it: Netflix. If you're not converted yet you need to be. It is such a simple solution to movie rentals and enjoyment. I think they do games too - not sure.

Hugs,
Holly

My husband buys almost every single movie (the good ones) on DVD the day it comes available. You should see our collection! Therefore, I haven't been to Blockbusters in a long time!

Here via Carnival of Family Life.

This looks really good. I clicked through and checked it out.

We currently have blockbuster, but are only averaging one movie per week and it costs $10 per month. This sounds like a much better option. And we are really trying to avoid buying Direct TV, so this might help! Thanks!

Kelly
Home of Pass the Torch Tuesday

Amy, because I live in a semi-rural area now, renting movies became problematic--or returning them on time, actually. I had never thought I would do a by-mail movie club, because we don't watch that many movies. But with the prices up over $5 to rent a movie, and a lower volume plan, we used Netflix a while. The turnaround was poor for my area, and with only 2 movies out at a time, it wasn't working. Then I found Blockbuster. We are still on a lower price plan, and so we use the free movie rental coupons as well each month!

However, I will keep this other club in mind. I didn't know that games rentals were so high. My husband and I enjoyed our N64 long before we have kids, and my daughter just got a Game Cube for her bday, so I think that the fun will begin again!

Amy,

Sorry to hear you didn't have a good experience w/Blockbuster. We LOVE our plan. $14.99 for 2 movies out at a time plus, one internet coupon per week good on any rental including new releases. We rent a ton of movies and it more than pays for itself. At $3.79 per movie, even if we only used the internet coupon every week, it would still be worth it. We have never had a problem with slow service, in fact, turnaround time is about 48 hours. It could be because their movie "warehouse" is local but it sure works for us. Glad to hear though you found something that works for you!
