It is Works-For-Me Wednesday and I am happy to participate in this weekly event. For more great tips for you & your family visit the WFMW Founder, Shannon, at her website Rocks in My Dryer. There are a whole slew of great ideas for your family.
My little tip this week is regarding those foamy hand soaps that you can buy. I got three of these from a family member for Christmas one year and I love them. There is something about a foamy hand soap that makes me feel like my hands are so much cleaner. Ironically, the foaming hand soaps are only about ¼ soap and the rest is just good old-fashioned water.
When I ran out of soap, I decided to save the container and reuse it. I filled this container with our daughter’s bath wash (1/4 full) and then filled it the rest of the way with water. Gave it a good shimmy shake and ta-da! This makes your very own foamy bath soap for your little one. I just squirt a dollop of soap directly on her and rub it in with a washcloth. When you have a wet and wild little wiggle worm like I do, this soap makes things a lot easier for us during bath time.
I just peeled the label off of the front of the Bath & Body soap and labeled it (with my trusty label maker) and popped it in with her bath soaps & toys. It is amazing how much further our soap goes when we use this versus the regular old pump soap.

Perfect timing! I just ran out of my kids foamy soap today and was just using regular liquid soap. Good thing I kept the pump!!

My gym just switched to the foamy soap in the bathrooms and it smells and feels wonderful. we were in the car on the way home after a work out and I kept smelling my hands. my husband thought i was crazy, but foamy soap is the best!

Great idea! I also loved your post about freeing up pantry space making the “mommy trail mix”. To answer the question you posted on my blog, at the bottom left of the blogger box where you type in your post, you’ll see an arrow next to the words “post and comment options.” If you click on it, it opens up a menu where you have the option of changing the date and time for your post. That’s how you make your saved drafts post for the date when you want them to post.

I totally believe if more public restrooms had foamy soap, every one would love washing their hands!
thanks for stopping by my blog

I never use anything but foamy soap anymore, this will come in handy when I run out! Thanks for the idea =)

Hello, little late this week checking everyone’s WFMW. I didn’t post one this week. I read your comment about changing the date on your posts. I’m sure someone explained it to you already.
In the off chance they did not…
here’s your answer so you can stop now if they’ve already told you!
When you are in the create or edit posts window, at the bottom of the post box, above the ‘Save as Draft’ button is an arrow that says Post and Comment Options. Click on that and you can allow comments or not but most importantly, you can change the date and time of the post stamp.
Have a great day and we see you around on Wednesday.
Pam
