I am so glad that you & your hubby enjoyed this recipe! I will have to try it with Splenda next time- I am sure that it tasted just as good (I am a huge fan of Splenda). I noticed that Walmart is now carrying an off-brand of Splenda too (just in case you wanted to cut down the cost).

The book is wonderful. I have a couple of more recipes that I want to review out of it- all of them have been delicious!

I finally got around to trying this recipe and it got rave reviews from my hubby. I substituted the Splenda baking blend for the sugar (use 1/2 c instead of 1 c), which I am sure reduces the fat and calories by even more! Thanks for sharing the recipe; I'll have to see if my library carries this book too.

I am so glad it turned out and that you guys enjoyed it. I love any recipe where I can use ripe bananas.

I will let you know when I return the book- this is one that I might actually think about buying?? I know! That's a shocker!

Amy,
I made the Starbucks Banana Pound Cake the other day. I had a couple of over ripe bananas and wanted to make something a little different. Turned out great! Very moist. I had FF vanilla yogurt on hand and used that. My in-laws loved it, too. Thanks! I'll have to pick that book up from the library sometime...whenever you're done with it, that is! :-)
