I just came across your blog and enjoyed it. I want to share that I have found the Facebook of Shopping and Sharing and it's called URCOOP.com. It's free and you just create a community with your friends and share bulk purchases and save money. I've never seen anything like it!

Being a mother of four boys, three of them teenagers and a Marine Wife, I'm always trying to budget to find a few extra bucks. The one thing we never really managed was our grocery budget. I realize now how much of a mistake that is and how much money we should be saving.

Our bill averages $1000 monthly. I started using my bread machine which took nearly $50 a month off the bill because I've started making my own pasta with it. Given I already do a lot of from scratch cooking, I was honestly surprised at how much more I could do with a little extra effort.

Thank you so much for the time and effort you've saved my family TONS!

Good suggestions. I also find a lot of our staples go on sale once a month and I've cleaned out a closet in our basement to stock up on non-perishables when they're on sale.

"I have realized that just when I *think* I know everything, I find that I have so much more to learn."

That's the fun part of the frugal challenge, though, isn't it?
