My son is three and a half. Will be four in July. We started an allowance for him a few months ago. He was in an “i want…i want” stage. His chore was to make sure all his dirty clothes made their way into the laundry basket…we didn’t set a specific amount, just gave him a dollar or whatever change we had at the end of the week. He loved it and would run straight to his piggy bank. Since then we have kind of done it off and on…when he mentions it we give him his “weekly allowance”. I am sure when he is older and we are ready to hand him more chores this will become a weekly routine. And oh he still puts his clothes away!
Feel free to share why you voted the way you did….
Our family has not done an allowance yet. My son is three and I am contemplating trying an allowance out with him.
We got an allowance for a little over a week. Then my parents decided it was being part of the family and doing your part.
I will be curious to see how you all vote!
