Thank you so much for all the hard work you've done! I've just started shopping at Aldi's and had just finished using your previously published fall/winter menu plan and was wondering what I would do next. You've solved that problem for me! Now I'm off to plan my next trip! Thank you again!

Jean,

I agree that Aldi does offer many processed foods, but we try to shy away from those in our family. I will definitely continue supplying meals that don't use convenience food.

As for the nutritional data, my program does not supply sodium content and due to time constraints I am only going to be supplying nutritional data for items that I already had in the software. Between this, article writing for our site and other publications, the blog, and running/moderating our forum, I am going to have to eliminate something. Trying to plug everything into the program is slowing me waaaayyy down.

I will try to continue offering ideas for meals though and supplying grocery lists, totals, recipes & pictures.

I really appreciate your feedback- thank you so much!

Hi Amy,
I love your site!!! I have been an Aldi's shopper for years now and love it- it has saved my family a ton of money. The only caution I might add regarding shopping at Aldi's is that there are alot of processed foods there and the sodium content is way too high. Is there any way you could add the sodium content to the nutrition guide on your menu? I see Aldi shoppers loading up on lots of convenience foods that are really just a heart attack waiting to happen! It is possible to eat healthy and shop at Aldi's - and I love that your site does not use lots of prepacked items. Some of my family's favorites are the frozen "gourmet" green beans, the frozen tilapia, the frozen chinese stir fry veggies, frosted shredded wheat cereal, and of course all the block cheeses! I literally can cut my food bill in half by shopping there. For a family of 7, I usually spend about $400 month and we eat very well ( and try to eat healthy to boot!!! ) Thanks again for the great site!
