Hey Amy - I am a Aldi fanatic too!! I have converted many people and they love Aldi's as well. :) For those who 'poo-poo' Aldi's - a frugal girl has got to do what she's gotta do! I am writing about a recipe that is in the make your own mixes article... the third ingredient in the dry italian dressing mix is: 2 T. ground ?? What is the missing ingredient? Thanks for all that you do!!

Hi Amy! I have enjoyed looking through your website & have gleamed alot of helpful info. I wanted to encourage you after reading some of the other posts. A friend of mine & I sit around and talk about how we can stay in our budget & eat quality foods at the same time. Yes, I agree with the lady that said we should shop farmers markets. However the only one in my area is all organic & the prices totally eat up my grocery money. My friend & I try to eat no hormone/antibiotic meat & milk. The rest we try to shop wisely to stay in our budgets. She has found Aldi to help her stay in that tight budget. I appreciate the time & effort you put into your website. You offer great ideas & helpful info. I do wholeheartly believe that we should eat the best we can, however I also believe college for my kids & saving money is a great thing too. Thank you for what your doing!

I Amy, I am new to your site and I for one am excited that you have started an Aldi's recipe site. I think some common sense is in order, local food markets certainly have their place (in the SUMMER,when you live in Iowa) though, we always have a big garden to share with everyone. Whole foods can be found in all grocery stores, chains, local market, and coops etc, I guess that is to our advantage living in this great land, America, and I for one love Aldis, and I certainly don't find their food inferior in fact many times better, when you read the labels. Keep the recipes coming, this is a great idea. Robin RN

I think you should reconsider what 'affordable' means, when you are paying (when you buy your groceries) to support a company that makes their products affordable by using mass-farming and food processing methods which lowers the quality of the food. You are buying sub-quality food, and it's not good for your kids! Neither is it good for small businesses and local industry (your neighbors). It is cheaper, and more nourishing, to buy food at local farmers' markets. Don't be duped!

No one who posts here works for the company. Most people just enjoy eating food that is affordable.
